Members of the public are welcome to attend any public Board or Standing Committee meeting and can watch the livestream on YouTube. If attending in-person, the doors to the building may close at 7:10 pm for Board and Standing Committee meetings and at the designated start time of the meeting for any other in-person meetings. Anyone who arrives after that may not be able to access the building as the doors may be locked.
Every regular Board meeting includes a public question period on questions of a general nature or about Board processes, while making sure that adequate time is available for regular business. Questions are subject to the discretion of the Chair of the Board. The Chair may establish time limitations as necessary to achieve these objectives and may group together questions of a similar nature.
Questions shall not be entertained if they relate to a matter which is under consideration by the Board and for which another public input and questioning process is available (e.g. school boundaries, accommodation reviews, school naming). Questions to individual trustees will also not be addressed at public question period.
To submit a question, please complete the information on this form prior to 4 p.m. on the Sunday before the Board meeting in order to have your question addressed during the Public Question Period.
This form will open on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 12:00 noon and close at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 14 , 2023.
