Event Details:

The Durham District School Board (DDSB) will hold its 2025-2026 budget deliberation meetings in the following upcoming public sessions. All meetings will be held in-person at the DDSB Education Centre and will be live-streamed on DDSB’s YouTube Live channel.

·        Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.

o   Public Deputations to the Education Finance Committee

o   Overview of the 2025-2026 Core Education Funding

·        Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.

o   Presentation of the 2025-2026 draft budget

·        Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.

o   Public Deputations to the Education Finance Committee

o   Presentation of the updated draft budget

·        Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. (if required)

o   Presentation of the updated draft budget (if required)

Members of the public and Durham District School Board community groups are welcome to prepare a written submission or make a public presentation to the Education Finance Committee at the April 15, 2025 or May 27, 2025 meetings. • Requests for the April 15, 2025 meeting must be received no later than April 9, 2025, at noon.
• Requests for the May 27, 2025 meeting must be received no later than May 21, 2025, at noon.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting and can watch the livestream on YouTube.  Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. If attending in-person, the doors to the building will close at the designated start time of the meeting.  Anyone who arrives after that may not be able to access the building as the doors will be locked. 

The DDSB is committed to a safe and respectful environment for all Board and Standing Committee Meetings. All individuals attending in-person will be required to sign in and show photo identification for the purposes of verifying their identity. Individuals that do not wish to sign in may choose to participate in the meeting virtually through the livestream. All participants are expected to be respectful and not interrupt the meeting proceedings. In the interest of maintaining that, should there be any conflict between members of the audience or any meeting disruptions, people in attendance may be directed to leave the premises.
