Wellness Wednesday

Returning for a second year, the Durham District School Board will “Shine Green” for Children’s Mental Health Week!

Schools are encouraged to participate in Shine Green for Mental Health Week.  Throughout the province and the GTA, monuments will be lighting green to support mental health awareness.  Shine Green for Mental Health is a simple way to remind our school communities that we must make student well-being and mental health a priority and raise our collective awareness about mental health. On Wednesday May 8th, 2019, all DDSB schools are invited to illuminate their buildings with green lights, if possible, to raise awareness about mental health. School staff and students are also invited to dress in green, the colour representing mental health, and post pictures or messages to social media by using the hashtags #GETLOUD and #DDSBWellBeing.
